Retro Raunch Revisit

Today marks the 45th anniversary of THE OPENING OF MISTY BEETHOVEN (1976) "opening" in XXX theaters. A blending of the play 'PYGMALION' and its musical adaption MY FAIR LADY, the original working title was 'SOCIETY' and after the film's completion, 23yr old Constance Money (under her real name Susan Jensen but also Jennifer Baker in newspapers) sued director Radley Metzger over 3 cut scenes which were used in 2 other xxx movies (mainly MARASCHINO CHERRY but also BARBARA BROADCAST) to which she was not compensated. Both parties came to a settlement in Sept 1979.
