Happy 20th Anniversary to this landmark debut by the Swedish grindcore gods that has been credited as the album that was responsible for reviving the scene which had taken a downturn in the 90's. I/E is a shining moment in a genre very often criticized for being too often indistinct. With its relentless speed, blast beats and sheer heaviness, the album is an intense & immersive crash course of brilliant chaos in its buzzsaw extremity and whirlwind of quick songs drenched in deep crushing groove through its clear production. A pure shot of unforgiving adrenaline complimented by great dual vocals and overall ripping rawness. In 2000, when NAPLAM DEATH released 'Enemy of the Music Business', they sited I/E as the inspiration to return to their faster roots. Singer/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk died tragically with his girlfriend in Thailand during the Dec 26, 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. R.I.P.
