The British grindcore band's 3rd album was a marked turn of departure as it was the first to feature singer Barney and guitarists Mitch & Jesse, and the last for drummer Mick. Their sound had also switched from original grind to a more standard death approach with more expansive songs as opposed to the earlier short berserk blasts of abandon. Influenced by the Florida scene, HC polarized some old-school fans because of the compositional style changes but the transition brought in newer listeners alongside guest vocals by DEICIDE's Glen Benton & OBITUARY's John Tardy. The track 'Suffer the Children' also saw heavy video rotation. HC's more organized development still maintains the band's menacing & scornful roots in continued tackled lyrical themes of societal oppression & decay, mental manipulation, political corruption, and environmental destruction. Happy 35th Anniversary.
