Today is the 10th anniversary of Candida passing away (2015). Born in Oct 1950, she was originally trained in arts, dance & music in New York City, and moved to San Francisco in 1970 where she sang in clubs & theaters before entering porn. She was an early feminist pioneer flimmaker and sex educator who went on to also produce couples-oriented xxx in response to what she called 'degrading & misogynistic' material. She was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 1997 and is also in the AVN Hall of Fame. Candida died from ovarian cancer. R.I.P.
